About the Sisters

Carolyn Baker is a Performing and Teaching Artist in Los Angeles where she presents workshops on the folk music of California during the 1800-1900's. With a Master's degree in Education, Carolyn is the author of The Harmony Handbook; the producer of the western review CowgirlUp!; and has a solo CD, "Lasso the Moon". She plays bass and sings lead and harmony for The Elliott Sisters. Carolyn is also widely respected for her uncanny ability to cross her eyes while reciting “The Battle of the Light Brigade”.

Janelle Elliott, a life-long harmonizer, began her musical career in the San Francisco Bay area, performing original and popular folk material in local clubs. Janelle performs jazz a capella music and travels internationally with quartets and quintets. She is also the guitarist and alto vocalist with the Elliott Sisters. She enjoys CheezeWhiz and long walks on the beach with her unmanageable dog, Buddy.

Georgia Montgomery
is an accomplished jazz vocalist who performed for many years at San Francisco’s Top of the Mark and also in Tokyo at The Imperial Hotel, and performs with MonTango, an Argentine tango ensemble. Now with The Elliott Sisters,, she plays mandolin and sings lead and harmony vocals. Her hobbies include popping corn and forming strong opinions.

The Elliott Sisters are available to bring live western entertainment

to your next event, goat roping, or cattle drive.
